St Johnstone Women are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Olivia Hurrell on loan from Dundee United until the end of the season.
On joining up with Saints, this is what Olivia has to say so far:
“I was looking to go out on loan and I had heard a lot of good things about St. Johnstone. I’ve been here for a few weeks now, and the training has been up at a high standard from my very first session.
“Everyone works hard for each other and train as a group. The girls were all lovely and made me feel part of the team instantly.
“Making my debut for Saints a week past Sunday was exciting and even better that it finished with a positive result. I’m really looking forward to the remainder of the season, and to continue working hard in training to earn more game time, while getting some more points on the league table.”
And this is what Kev Candy had to say about adding Olivia to his side:
“When Oliva was offered to us a loan basis we were mindful that Morgan may well have been on the move in the opposite direction, so there was a natural fit positional wise.
“Mark had worked with Olivia in the local performance programme’s previously and spoke highly of not only ability but most importantly her attitude to football.
“She’s an exceptionally hard worker and ticks so many of the boxes in what we want to see from a player wearing Saints blue. She has a bit of devilment in her ball work, and a physical stature to bounce defenders; we’re all looking forward to seeing what she can achieve with us in SWPL2. “
