St Johnstone WFC is proud to be developing as a key link between two of the towns well known football clubs. St Johnstone FC and Jeanfield Swifts.
Operating in the senior Women’s Leagues as Jeanfield Swifts Women’s FC, St Johnstone FC and Jeanfield Swifts first entered a facility sharing partnership in 2016 following the latter’s promotion to the SWPL for the first time.
In 2018 a further development of the partnership took place as Jeanfield Swifts WFC were re-branded as St Johnstone WFC, taking to the field for the first time in the latter’s famous blue and white kit.
In late 2021, St Johnstone FC appointed their first General Manager of Women’s Football, with a key remit of further developing the reach of St Johnstone WFC whilst continuing to develop the existing close ties with Jeanfield Swifts well regarded Girls Youth Pathway.
Priding itself on supporting local talent to fully develop their footballing potentially, Jeanfield Swifts Girls FC youth pathway strives to provide a platform for female footballers in Perthshire, Tayside and Fife to perform at the highest level.
Providing girls programmes at U-10, U-12, U-13, U-14, U-16 and U-18 levels, Jeanfield Swifts continue to operate at the Heart of the Perth footballing community.
